Host Business of the Month - December 2017

T&J Contractors have been a part of our GTNT family since August 2014 and are GTNT's Host Business of the month for December 2017! T&J have been providing Refrigeration, Electrical, and Carpentry services to residents of the Barkly Region for more than 30 years.

Tony & Jean Civitarese have owned and operated T&J since they started it themselves in 1987 to cater for the installation, service, and maintenance of commercial/domestic refrigeration and air-conditioning.  

Over the years T&J has grown from a refrigeration business into a company offering a wide range of services across various industries. With its emphasis on quality and proficient service, the business has quickly grown to assume a leading role within its fields throughout the NT.

Services provided by T&J:

• Electrical, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning
• Construction, Maintenance and Building Services
• Remote Housing Services and Tenancy Management

Currently T&J host a couple of GTNT employees. Lavina Grant has been employed since August 2016, completing her Certificate III in Business. Her duties involve conducting housing inspections, assessing rents and rent rebates, data entry, answering phones, dealing with client enquiries, and generating reports. 

Troy Gillett is their trade apprentice, completing his Certificate III in Carpentry. He has just completed his second year of his qualification and having this opportunity has allowed Troy to focus on his dream of becoming a qualified Carpenter. 

Both Lavina and Troy are employed by T&J Contractors and are managed by GTNT under our Local Jobs program. They both are completing their studies through Registered Training Organisation, Charles Darwin University (Alice Springs Campus).
