Host Business of the Month - Territory Wildlife Park

As a true Darwin icon most of us are already quite familiar with the Territory Wildlife Park, if you went to school in Darwin you most likely would have had more than one school excursion here and you may have even been lucky enough to participate in a school holiday program or attend a classmates birthday party.

But did you know that the Territory Wildlife Park is one of GTNT’s fantastic Host Business? Or that over their almost 30 years of  operation that have employed and hosted a large number of trainees in various areas.

Quinton Appleby is the lucky young man that is currently employed by the Territory Wildlife Park studying a Certificate III in Conservation Land Management. Quinton commenced at the park in February 2017 as a School based apprentice studying a Certificate II in Animal Studies before transition into a full time role on completion of Year 12.

Quinton was named the GTNT School Based Trainee of the Year in 2018 for his dedication and outstanding work throughout his Certificate II in Animal Studies qualification.

Surrounded by a team of passionate like minded people Quinton gets to spend his days careering for the vast range of animals and teaching he parks visitors about the animals, the habitats they live in and the importance of doing all that we can to preserve them for generations to come.
