Host Business of the Month - Lactalis Australia Pty Ltd
Lactalis Australia have been partnered with GTNT since 2013, providing opportunities to Territorians in the Engineering - Mechanical Trade qualification.
Lactalis Australia Pty Ltd is a national dairy company with a long and proud history in Australia, a history that commenced with the opening of the Paul’s milk factory on the banks of the Brisbane River back in the 1930’s. More than 80 years on, they are now a part of a global dairy organisation that brings nutrition and wellness to people all over the world.
Lactalis Australia is a part of the Lactalis Groupe, they continue to invest and expand in their business within Australia. Lactalis Australia has approximately 2500 passionate employees, working closely and constructively with some 500 Australian farmers to produce the finest products. Their mission is to have Australian consumers recognise the quality and value of their products and to invest in and grow the Australia dairy industry.
Lactalis Australia’s Darwin department has approximately 65 dedicated staff members. There staff are committed to the Darwin community and they regularly participate in community events to promote health and wellness. One of those staff members being a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade apprentice.
Peter Foscaro commenced with Lactalis Australia in February 2019, as a 3rd year apprentice. He is gaining valuable skills and knowledge to complete his qualification successfully.
Peter enjoys working at Parmalat as he gets to work as part of a supportive and fun team. He enjoys the variety and diversity of tasks that he is completing here on a day to day basis.
Peter’s supervisor Nick Freer advised that having Peter as part of the team has been great so far and they look forward to seeing him meet his full potential. He advised that since day one, Peter has given 100% to every task and he consistently produces a high standard of work.
