Qualification: Certificate III in Business

Host Business: Aviation Australia

Hannah has a passion for the aviation industry and wanted to pursue a career in this field. While in Year 11 and 12 she completed her Certificate II in Aircraft Line Maintenance and met her current supervisor, Emma at Aviation Australia. This traineeship allowed Hannah to graduate 6 months early and continue her professional journey.

As a student, Hannah saw how much the staff enjoyed their work and the support they get around career advancement, this inspired her to become part of the team.

“Working at Aviation Australia has given me the confidence to pursue my goals and aspirations as well as take on challenges even if I might struggle.”

Hannah regularly shares her experiences with friends, potential students, and parents in order to promote VET training as she believes it is a great foundation for a successful future.

What impact did your studies/work have on your life?

This course has impacted me in the best way possible. It has provided me with the opportunity to start my career in administration and jump-start my life after high school. I have gained workplace skills as well as life skills that allow me to conduct myself professionally.

I had the opportunity to go to schools and promote our brand which has resulted in the largest percentage of female enrolments to date! I enjoy working in a team setting, it allows for open discussion of different ideas from people of all backgrounds and cultures. This helps me immensely as I learn different approaches to manage situations. I also like the range of skills my colleagues have, and I learn from them every day.

I strongly believe that VET training is a solid pathway to a successful career. I have completed two Certificates through the VETis program. It allowed me to gain practical knowledge and skills within the industries that I would not have been able to through university.
