Kathryn Stenson recently participated in the VET Community of Practice NT Summit held in Darwin. Accompanied by Minister Paul Kirby MLA - Minister for Business, Jobs and Training, the event provided a valuable platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among training practitioners.
During the summit, ISTA's dedicated trainers showcased their expertise by delivering Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) training to visiting trainers from Timor-Leste. This initiative was a part of the Northern Territory's Strategic Alliance with Timor-Leste, highlighting ISTA's commitment to providing high-quality education and training to international partners. In addition, Sharon Stewart from WANT Training Services conducted the Enterprise Trainer units, further emphasising ISTA's dedication to excellence in education.
The Chairman expresses immense pride in the contributions made by the ISTA team towards the professional development of the Timorese trainers and the strengthening of relationships between the two nations.
Thank you to Industry Skills Advisory Council NT - ISACNT, Independent Tertiary Education Council Australia, Charles Darwin University, and the Northern Territory Government for their invaluable support in organising this event. Their collaborative efforts have played a crucial role in the summit's success.
The VET Community of Practice NT Summit serves as a remarkable opportunity to unite training practitioners from across the Northern Territory. By coming together and sharing knowledge, the sector can be strengthened and expanded, opening doors to increased opportunities for student success.
